COVID-19: IMPORTANT UPDATES: PPVS ADJUSTMENTS
To our PPVS family,
As communities around the world are impacted by the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, we wanted to reach out with the actions we are taking.
A modified shelter-in-place order for IL will be in effect until the end of May. In an effort to continue to provide a safe and calm environment for clients, patients, & staff, we are making the following adjustments:
Our goal has always been to provide a safe and calm environment for our clients, patients, and our staff and given this, we will make the following adjustments:
πΉ Friday May 1 – GROOMING will resume. Our groomers will be working to reschedule the cancellations and get all our patients back onto a schedule! Thank you for your patience!
πΉ Monday May 4 – REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS will resume: Mon-Fri 8a-7p (Sat 8:30a-1p, Sun closed)
πΉ PPVS continues to work to provide an environment that supports physical distancing of 6 feet.
β Facial coverings are required when physical distancing of 6ft is not possible.
β CURBSIDE ASSISTANCE is available for those that are ill or uncomfortable coming into our lobby. This applies to those with pets that need care OR for picking up supplies.
β For clients that may be ill or have been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you remain in your car. Call us when you arrive and we will safely assist you βcurbsideβ.
β We ask that you limit the number of family members/owners that present to your petβs appointment. This limits the amount of human-to-human exposures for you and our staff.
β Our large lobby remains OPEN, but we will be limiting the use of our smaller exam rooms.
πΉ Please utilize appropriate leashes, harnesses, and carriers for your petβs appointment.
πΉ When you arrive for your appointment:
β Please call the clinic from your car or enter the lobby (if you are not ill or exposed to COVID-19) to notify us that you have arrived.
β A staff member will come to you, get some brief information about your pet, and will take your pet to the treatment area for evaluation.
β Exam rooms will be utilized on a case by case basis.
β While waiting for your pet, we encourage you to wait in your car or in our lobby, while physically distancing from others.
β Exam findings/discussions will be discussed either over the phone or in-person, while maintaining physical distance.
β Payment information will be taken over the phone.
πΉ Medication/Diet Refills:
β Requests can be made by phone or email:
p: (630)301-2320
e: Info@partnersandpaws.com or Refill@partnersandpaws.com
β Please allow 24-36 hrs to ensure that refill requests are able to be fulfilled due to in-clinic stock.
β PPVS will call or email when your request is fulfilled.
β Medications and Diet can be picked up curbside (Call when you arrive to pick up your order. We will take payment over the phone and bring it to your car.)
β Medications can be mailed via USPS (regular First Class) at no additional charge by request.
πΉ PPVS continues to take extensive measures to thoroughly and frequently sanitize the entire hospital.
Though hygiene is always a top priority at PPVS, we continue taking extra steps to ensure that our lobby, reception desk, exam rooms, and treatment area are sanitized thoroughly and frequently. Our hospital-grade disinfectant is EPA rated to fight COVID-19. In addition to frequent hand-washing, we encourage our staff to physically distance themselves when able with clients and each other. Our team is asked to stay at home if they are not feeling well.
We are continuing to monitor and follow CDC (Center for Disease Control) and AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) recommendations and guidelines and will notify you of any changes in our business practices.
If you have any questions or concerns, please ask!
Thank you for your continued trust,
Partners and Paws Veterinary Services
